If you are like me, you are constantly hunting quality fabric at good prices. Over the years of sewing with buying wholesale and selling retail, I have found a few things that helped me and maybe you as well
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Marshall's Dry Goods in Batesville, Ar, this is one of the best places you can go. They offer over 30 different name brand fabrics. Including batting, upholstery fabric, vinyl, and cotton.
They are some of the nicest people I have worked with for years now. They are located in an old historical building in Batesville--half of the building is retail and the other half is wholesale. Wholesale starts at $1.90 per yard to 3.60 per yard in 15 yard bolts. An example on their great prices is to buy wholesale westminister(amy butler-free spirit) I have paid $4.45 a yard plus shipping thru westminister wholesale. At Marshall's I pay 1.90 to 2.50 for same grade fabric.
On the resale side women's groups come in vans to take advantage of their great prices, from 1.60 to 4.00 per yard. The do have an online store but does not offer what they have in stock at their shop and prices vary at the online store.

Jo-Ann's fabric to me is a little high priced, but offer great instore sales. I have found I have a hard time making it to the shop so I have bought on line, which I was not happy to see $6.00 shipping for 4 yards of fabric, but I am happy to say when I got the fabric, I was given a coupon for free shipping minimum $35.00 order. Also included was a 50% off for both online and instore purchases.

How to made ladybug appliue

you Will need 2 fabric colors of your choice 1/8 yard each

a half yard light heat bond (NO SEW heavy heat and bond)

1 black fabric paint.

8x10 paper scissors and a iron

set iron on high (no steam)

cut 1 3x6 egg shape that will be the under side of the ladybug

cut 1 4x5 hart shape ( made it bottom of the hart rounded off) these are the wings

trace each cutout on to the back of the heat n bond ( not the glue side)-this should be 2 piece of heat n bond (do not cut out)

lay each heat n bond piece on the back side of each piece of fabric -so that your drawing faces you.

and the print side of the fabric faces the ironing board.

press hard on the head N bond that is on top of your fabric (do not iron just hold down for 20sec)

cool cot out pattern and peel off fabric from heat N bond -the back of your fabric should shine

lay the egg shape on top of your project-lay the hart rounded bottom at the top of the egg

(check photo) now again hold down hot iron in place for 20sec

(sew) around ladybug with a zigzag stitch and draw on antennas.

let paint dry for 24 hours .

How to sew a pillowcase dress 12mos thru 3T

These instructions are for sizes 12 mos to 24 mos–2T/3T
　
PILLOWCASE DRESS INSTRUCTIONS
1. Fold fabric in half–right side out print facing you
Top of fabric should be 18" across–sides 23" long
2. Fold over the 23" so it will measure top 9" sides 23"
3. Pin pattern to fabric
4. Match up fold lines
5. Cut out fabric
Open fabric turn wrong side out
Pin each side together from under arm to bottom of hem
Now sew pinned sides
6. Unpin fabric
Turn fabric right side out
Press with iron on cotton setting–this makes seams nice and flat
7. Now fold in raw edges of arm holes 1/16 of an inch
Press with iron
Fold again this time 1/8 of an inch
Press with iron
Pin in place and sew
8. Lay open the top of dress on your ironing board
Fold over top of dress (the neckline) ½ inch and iron
Then fold again this time 1 inch and iron
Now pin bottom of fold to dress and sew at folded edge
Repeat on other side of dress top (neckline)
This makes 2 pockets to pull your ribbon through
10. Now with a safety pin pull ribbon through neckline pocket
11. Turn dress inside out
Fold over bottom hem ½ inch and press with iron
Then fold again until dress is in the desired length
Once dress is desired length sew hem
